Commitment is a concept that refers to dedication, loyalty, and perseverance toward a particular goal, cause, relationship, or belief. In relationships and/or partnerships, commitment is the willingness to work through difficulties, support each other, and prioritize the well-being of the partnership. In professional settings, commitment entails dedicating oneself to achieving organizational goals, meeting deadlines, and continuously improving skills and performance.


Ms. Thompson, a Youth Engagement Specialist at our Safe Haven & Sanctuary resident locations is a true example of commitment and #relentlesssupport for our young adults! Ms. Thompson has great communication and interactions with youth and CHGW staff. She thinks about new ways to be very creative and asserts wonderful ideas to enhance the youth experience at the resident facilities. Her colleagues say that she always provides a listening ear and gives constructive, but neutral advice, to our youth. Ms. Thompson takes initiative and gracefully covers shifts of team members when opportune. Ms. Thompson is consistent, reliable, responsible, and dependable and deserves to be recognized for her hard work, commitment, and professionalism. It’s why Ms. Thompson is loved by our youth. Thank you, Ms. Thompson, for not only your commitment to our youth but for being a stellar example to all of CHGW of commitment.
