SUPPORT

GET YOUR COMMUNITY INVOLVED TO HELP HOMELESS YOUTH

The key to success in changing government policies and funding is through grassroots advocacy and Covenant House’s advocates are our chief resource for making positive changes in Washington. By joining our network of advocates, you’ll receive Action Alerts in your inbox when important issues affect at-risk youth are debated on Capitol Hill. In 5 minutes or less, you’ll be able to write your elected officials and tell them their constituents care about the lives of young people living on the streets.

ADVOCATES MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Since 1972, Covenant House has been committed to protecting and safeguarding all youth, especially those without a place to call home. And with more than 40 years of experience in working directly with this population, Covenant House is ideally suited to champion the interests of young people in crisis at the federal level and ensure that their concerns are not only recognized but also addressed.

TAKE A STAND FOR HOMELESS YOUTH

Covenant House established a full-time presence in Washington, D.C., to drive our advocacy agenda with the administration and Congress and to bolster our involvement in coalitions. Today we are a member of the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Board of Directors of UNICEF and have taken on a prominent role in The Campaign for U.S. Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). But we need your help to make our voice in Washington even louder!

TO FEDERAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

Gifts may be made in response to the COVID-19 crisis, or for ANY cause, to ANY 2019 CFC listed charity.
During these unprecedented times, donors are finding many causes they are passionate about supporting: from social justice, equality, and reform to animal protection and feeding America's families in need.

America's Best Local Charities makes your community a better place to live. Our member charities educate children, feed and shelter the homeless, strengthen families, rescue unwanted animals and much more.

America's Best Local Charities is a federation of more than 700 local nonprofit charitable organizations that are helping children, the poor, the ill and disabled, the elderly and many others in need in communities like yours.

ABLC recognized the need to classify organizations by cause to assist donors in finding a charity that fits their need, and thus help its member charities participate more efficiently in work-place giving campaigns. This need prompted the founding of three new federations. You will find a list of our local federations on the left.
